gone

Well I've been mulling over this decision for some time now, but have finally decided to do it.

I've decided to close my blog.

I set up my blog with the intention of using it as a means of staying in touch with everyone in Singapore, a complement to e-mail, MSN and other personal ways of staying in contact. Unfortunately, as time flew by I realized I grew complacent and took for granted the limited readership here. Looking back at my mailbox I realize that I stopped sending out e-mails after awhile, and all those who used to look forward to my updates heard nothing from me all those months. So, with a renewed resolution, I vow to update everyone through more personal e-mails and gratituously send out photos as appropriate.

Secondly, I wanted only to let people know how I was doing in college - unfortunately, I got too impatient, set up my blog too early, and there's a whole motherload of earlier crap up there which I somehow didn't take down. I don't regret writing any of those posts, but plans, priorities and character do change and I don't want to seem the person I am not.

Life is transient. Events will start and end. People will come and go. Memories are meant to be left behind, and eventually forgotten. No matter what I do I will never be able to relive any of the events in my archive so what's the point anyway?

I've been a lousy friend, a selfish person who didn't care to write personally, an egoist who thought only to flaunt his achievements, and it's all because of this blog.

So if you are reading this, chances are that you're on my mailing list already. Do be assured that I vow to send regular updates even as I enter into my jaded sophomore year. I vow to personalize everything, to tell you how much you mean to me, and speak to you instead of finding a space to flaunt my ego.

And if you aren't on my mailing list, I probably don't know you and it's fucking stalkers like you that I wish to avoid.

Check your e-mails at the appropriate times everyone, else you know my phone number. If you don't, just e-mail me and ask.

Good bye blog, it was fun while it lasted.
